Gravita celebrates International Women’s Day

Published on:  08 March 2024

Our DFK International* Women in Leadership Mentoring Programme allows some of our senior Gravita women to serve as mentors to other more junior female accountants, helping to create the next generation of female leaders in accountancy across the world. Having an experienced mentor who can draw upon personal experience in similar positions is invaluable when guiding professionals on their journey towards leadership.

Led by one of our wonderful tax partners, we also host quarterly Sparkling Ladies Events. These are really high quality networking events which we hold for senior women from other professional service firms to attend and share their experiences in the field. We also encourage more junior women to attend these events to help them build solid relationships with senior figures from their sector. We believe it is vital to create environments such as this that are conducive for women to support each other as they progress in their careers.

This month, many of the Gravita team are also taking part in the annual ‘Marching Through March’ event run by DFK International. The event involves a month of walking, fundraising, and global connectivity as DFK teams from all over the world come together to make a positive impact. Each team aims to reach a combined one million steps throughout March. In 2023, DFK members raised over $15,000 and this year we aim to beat that! All proceeds will go towards helping women across the globe, who need loans for their businesses via Kiva. Fundraising initiatives such as this play a pivotal role in supporting women and their businesses, empowering them to achieve their goal and creating a financially inclusive world.

This International Women’s Day, we invite you to join us in supporting initiatives that support women in business and pave the way for their progress. Together, we collectively contribute to a brighter and more equitable future for women worldwide.

*DFK International is one of the largest independent associations of accountancy firms, of which Gravita is a member. Through DFK, we can provide seamless accounting and advisory solutions for our clients across 90 countries on six continents.
